Emily is originally from Connecticut and has wanted to be a meteorologist since the age of 10. She went to Rutgers University for her BS in Meteorology, and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology for her MS in Atmospheric Science. After graduation and almost a year of job hunting, she relocated to Tucson as forecaster for the NWS and has been with the agency for 6 years. She loves her career and looks forward to what the monsoon brings to southeast Arizona each year. She is Skywarn program coordinator and enjoys training weather spotters during the spring. She loves to travel, and in her spare time she can be found hiking or practicing yoga.
